An Evening with Annie Leibovitz

Thursday, June 13, 2019 | 5:00pm

CAROLANDS Chateau
565 Remillard Dr., Hillsborough, CA

While many may know Annie Leibovitz for her engaging celebrity portraiture, her art extends far beyond Hollywood. Join us as Annie shares, through a breathtaking discussion and slide show, her life's journey chronicling her artwork and experiences over 40 years; including her student days at the San Francisco Art Institute (where it all began). This is a rare chance to hear directly from one of the most famous and respected photographers alive today.

A word from SFAI President, Gordon Knox:

At SFAI, we fundamentally believe that artists play a critical role in society. Through their work, artists ask important and sometimes difficult questions about what it means to be human, confronting and challening the status quo so that meaningful change can happen. As national rhetoric continues to denigrate the value of higher education, particularly arts education, we stand firm that SFAI, a school devoted to nurturing emerging artists as critical thinkers and thought-leaders, has an urgent and essential mission.
