How do we challenge our pre-conceived notions of time through representations of movement within the margins of a contained space?
Altered by varying perceptions and reinterpretations of arbitrary conditions, artists in this exhibition explore and challenge the grounds of representation. In order to change the notion of materiality and conceptions, one has to consider the consequences of reality: the intangible, the cerebral, the banal, the mundane. And most notably the skewed frame that legitimizes these concerns. This exhibition operates as an ongoing improvisational video installation that adjusts each time a (new) tool is introduced, activated, and then removed. Turning Over Tendencies will become an inversion of the gallery space itself as it attempts to rematerialize and contextualize our actions throughout the duration of the show.
