The New Wrinkle is a group exhibition featuring work by Greta Anderson, Leah Gonzales, Paula Morales, Orly Ruaimi, and Anastasia Rasshchupkina.
The New Wrinkle questions the fundamentals of the textile and mainstream fashion industry. Critiquing the commodity fetishism which is fed to us through the fashion world; these five artists will be using various materials to deconstruct the barriers that are associated with the consumer aspect of fashion. Introducing new absurd wearable and touchable artefacts to the public, The New Wrinkle works to shift and collide cultural signifiers, while striving to renew the viewers’ response to fashion.
