Opening Reception: February 5 | 5–7pm
Three artists of different approaches and ambiguities come together through fragmentation of the body. Each coming from their own personhood to draw upon refusals of traditional representations of the body; within society and the artworld. The artist’s use of color, fragmentation, and scale are all conscious tools to analyze and remove the generative gaze and objectification that comes with employing the body in art. Utilizing sculpture, painting, exhaustive performance, and photography, three artists aspire to create a vulnerable space for contemplation and confrontation.
