Material Bodies realizes itself as a study of materials and their relationship with space and the human body. The pieces and their respective processes encourage how interactions between speed, tension, resistance, balance, and precariousness have the potential to work as tools to obtain, defy, and create knowledge about oneself and their surrounding context. Through performance and exploration of aesthetic and conceptual gestures, the exhibition encourages the public to pose questions of material bodies as terrains of contestation.
