Aaron Terry’s lecture will examine the flash and cadence of today’s rapid-fire media parade and how he reflects this in his own practice. Sourcing from sound bites, album covers and news media, the work resurrects new conversations with old ghosts, and questions the potential for a better future. He will discuss “truth” in the sea of today’s excessive media. Can truth be determined? Has the virtual become the real? Or vice versa?
Aaron Terry received his MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. His work has been shown nationally and internationally in Argentina, Chile, Moscow, and Berlin.
