Please join us Thursday, May 20th at noon, for the presentation and celebration of Lexygius Sanchez Calip’s MA Thesis. His performance lecture is titled “In Stillness Is Where You Tremble—The Inframince in Contemporary Art." The topic, also a crucial aspect of Lex’s studio work, is Marcel Duchamp’s elusive concept of the inframince and its significant absence/presence in late 20th- and early 21st-Century art.
Graduating with a Dual Degree combining an MA in the History and Theory of Contemporary Art and an MFA in Studio Art, Lexygius Sanchez Calip is the recipient of the 2021 Excellence in Scholarship Master of Arts Thesis Award.
