The culmination of the MFA degree is the highly anticipated MFA Exhibition held annually on campus or at an offsite venue—recent spaces include The Winery SF on Treasure Island, the retro Phoenix Hotel, and the National Historic Landmark the Old Mint. Showcasing the work of nearly 100 artists each year, the exhibition is nationally recognized for its intellectual rigor and groundbreaking creative output.
Gallery and museum curators, art collectors and critics, as well as family, friends, and the general public are invited to attend this celebration recognizing the next generation of emerging artists.

A singular generation of SFAI MFA artists come together here for the 2020 MFA Exhibition, documenting works across media including: painting, photography, printmaking, digital technologies, sculpture, installation, video, film, and performance.
2019: 2019 MFA Exhibition, held at SFAI's Fort Mason Campus.
