SFAI—Fort Mason Campus

SFAI—Fort Mason Campus is the new 67,000 square foot home to over 160 art studios for students, faculty, and visiting artists; 3,300 square feet of new public exhibition space—open to the public and free of charge.

This new campus is located in a vibrant community of 24 resident organizations–including galleries, bookshops, restaurant, cafes, and art supply store–and within blocks of the SFAI—Chestnut Street Campus.

To open the new Fort Mason Campus, SFAI is commissioning new works—starting with a mural by Alicia McCarthy (BFA 1994).
