The Artists Salon is a nomadic group of artists that gather to exchange ideas at various locations in the Bay Area. Through site specific visits and community engagement, artists will convene in dialogue and explore various aspects of the local art scene.
This curriculum is developed for post shelter in place reintegration into the art scene, and is designed to enliven the artist’s sense of community building and engagement through local art and current events. Activities include but are not limited to studio visits, artist talks, museum and gallery visits, and portfolio review.
Transportation is recommended. Additional fees for admission and activities may apply. Covid cautious, masked, and socially distanced. The class will be capped at six students.
Lauren Jade Szabo is a Los Angeles born artist who lives and works in Oakland. She graduated with a BFA in Illustration from California College of the Arts with distinction, and received an MFA Fellowship from San Francisco Art Institute for graduate study in Painting completed in 2018. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is in private collections in Europe and the United States. Szabo has exhibited with SFMOMA Artists Gallery and the DeYoung Museum.View Gallery »
