Materials List

 Students will use plants directly in the process of building an image in multiple printmaking disciplines including etching, and monotypes. Students will learn how to combine these disciplines to achieve varied depth in their prints. This course will emphasize experimentation. These methods allow the artist to create stunning images without requiring strong drawing skills.

Rebecca Rippon is a San Francisco artist whose work explores the intersection of nature and constructed spaces. She works primarily in printmaking for the opportunities it offers to experiment. She received her MFA from San Francisco Art Institute and was awarded a Cadogan Contemporary Art Award from the San Francisco Foundation. She also holds a BA in English literature from the University of North Florida where she graduated magna cum laude.
