This hands-on course provides the fundamental knowledge to conceive, create and modify 2D and 3D geometric objects using the powerful design and visualization tool Rhinoceros 3D. Further exploration will cover preparing and exporting digital models for fabrication. As a final project, students will fabricate their projects using laser cutting or 3D printing.

Yağmur Uyanık is a media artist based in San Francisco with backgrounds in architecture and music. Her work explores repetition, process and intangibility through creating instruments of displacement using light, sound and space. Uyanık has received her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Istanbul Bilgi University and her Master’s degree in Art & Technology from San Francisco Art Institute as a Fulbright scholar. Her work was shown internationally at institutions including Ars Electronica, Sonar D+, Signal Light Festival, MUTEK, Exploratorium, CalAcademy and Diego Rivera Gallery.
