This workshop will immerse students of all levels into the playful process of Improvisational Sculpture.  We’ll take a journey through a series of exercises to help facilitate exploration and experimentation in three dimensional art making. Build a series of original sculptures, using found materials, cardboard, paper, wood, cloth, and natural materials--all in a supportive environment.

Lia Sutton is a New York artist working and living in the Bay Area. Sutton is currently an Artist in Residence at Kala Art Institute and has exhibited her work nationally and internationally. Sutton received an MFA from Cornell University and a BA from Hampshire College.
