In this two session weekend intensive, students will review the basics of fine art pigment printing on top of the line Epson inkjet printers while trying a variety of different paper substrates in an attempt to understand the stylistic and technical advantages of different materials. This is not an introductory workshop, some familiarity with photoshop and inkjet printing is required.
Chris Grunder is an artist living and working in San Francisco. He received his BA in History and Art History in 2007 from the University of Washington and his MFA in Photography from SFAI. He has worked as a freelance retoucher, digital technician, and fine art printer since 2008. His work has been exhibited widely in the Bay Area, including shows at Some Thing Spacious, Oakland; double Bread (dB), San Francisco; and de Young Museum, San Francisco.
