

Miguel Novelo (BFA Film, 2018) is an interactive filmmaker and visual artist: infusing traditional and new techniques, like 16mm and VR video, with performance and new genres. Through sound, image, and tactility, his videos create active experiences of realities in fictional, digital worlds.

Miguel Novelo is a visual artist and filmmaker who graduated in 2013 from the Escuela Universitaria de Artes y Espectáculos TAI in Madrid, and currently is attending SFAI for a BFA in Film with an emphasis in Art and Technology. He has been a fellow at several institutions, including the Pablo García Foundation (2010 and 2015), and has exhibited artwork and short films internationally: La Jeune Martyre - Mex-Parismental in Paris (2015), CDMX in the University Museum of Contemporary Art, Tijuana, among others. In 2014, Novelo produced the Campeche Film Festival as an activity of formation and promotion to the cinematographic creation.
