Tracy Leeds is a long time marketing and media executive. Her most recent role was Chief Operating Officer at StarMedia Network, the pioneering Internet media and technology company for Spanish and Portuguese speaking audiences worldwide. At StarMedia she was responsible for all consumer and client-facing aspects of the organization and helped lead the company to a successful initial public. Prior to StarMedia, Tracy held a wide range of product management, marketing and media operations roles at Playtex Family Products, Johnson & Johnson, Time Warner Cable, Catalog1, and AT&T.
Tracy’s appreciation for arts education began in the fifth grade when the new headmaster of her all-girls’ grade school converted half the building’s basement into New York City’s largest and most well-equipped darkroom - where she, thereafter, spent the better part of her middle, high school and college years. Since then, much of Tracy’s personal time has focused on the arts as an enthusiast, collector, supporter and, now, parent of a practicing artist, who is, herself, a graduate of the SFAI Pre-College Program.
Tracy was born and raised in New York City. She is a graduate of Yale University and received her MBA from the Harvard School of Business. Since moving to San Francisco in 2003, she served as the Senior Director for Strategic Development at Common Sense Media and a trustee of the Bay Area Discovery Museum. She is currently a member of the Yale University Development Council, the Leadership Council of The Center for Reproductive Rights and is an active volunteer with numerous other arts and education organizations.
