Tatiane Santa Rosa

TaKane Santa Rosa is a Brazilian-born art writer and a Ph.D. student in Visual Studies at the University of California Santa Cruz, working on Brazilian and LaKn American contemporary art. She has an MFA in Art Writing from the School of Visual Arts (NY-2015) and an MA in Art History, Contemporary Art (Sotheby’s InsKtute of Art, NY-2013). She coauthored the book Contemporary Art in Brazil by Editora Pinakotheke, Rio de Janeiro, 2015. Her essays and reviews have been published by Guernica, ARTnews, Hyperallergic, artcriKcal, and NewCityBrazil. In 2014 she curated the show Triplopia: Gregório Gruber, Lucio Tamino and Lorena Hollander in São Caetano do Sul (Sao Paulo, Brazil), and in 2013 she co-curated Sísifo: El Heroísmo del Absurdo, ArteActual, FLACSO, in Ecuador. She was a curatorial intern at El Museo del Barrio (NY) and at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA-NY). She worked at the Whitney Museum of American Art as the 2014 Whitney Biennial's curatorial intern.
