The intent of Miles Stemp’s text and sculptural works is to make visible the invisible. Operating in response to questions and anxieties surrounding science, politics, and the general uneasiness of being a human, Stemp uses precision and humor as tools for making these concepts visible. Stemp embraces common materials and readymades to illustrate the structures that define our collective angst. The work strives to develop connections between uncertainty, doubt, time, and self-reflection.
