Kaitlin Trataris (b. 1990) is a multi-media artist living and working in San Francisco. She co-founded and ran R/SF projects, a curatorial project space in downtown San Francisco for raw contemporary work, alternative projects, and offbeat programming from the Bay Area’s emerging talent. Trataris is involved in a number of collaborative projects including, The Dead Alleys (a conceptual punk rock band) and A.I.R. (a traveling residency program). In her practice, Kaitlin creates installations and performances that reflect on institutional and personal boundaries that perpetuate our communal traumas. Trataris received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute, and her Bachelor of Fine Art degree from San Diego State University. In 2015 she was a recipient of the Murphy and Cadogan Contemporary Art Award. She has shown work at CCA Hubbell Street Galleries (San Francisco, CA), SOMArts (San Francisco, CA), and Noroof Gallery (San Francisco, CA).
