Josephine Taylor

Instructor I

Josephine Taylor studied Religion at the University of Colorado before pursuing an MFA in Painting/Drawing at SFAI. Taylor creates narrative drawing, prints, and collages on paper. Her work primarily examines the emotional and psychological remnants of the childhood and adolescent experience. Taylor was a recipient of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art SECA Award, was included in Bay Area Now IV at YBCA and the California Biennial at OCMA, received the Fleishhacker Eureka Fellowship in 2017. She has taught at UC Berkeley, Stanford, CCA, and SFAI (Deibenkorn Fellowship). She has shown with Catharine Clark Gallery since 2003.
