Jaimie Healy

Jaimie Healy creates work that moves across disciplines from painting and sculpture to performance, also drawing from the written word in poetry, philosophy, and psychology. Considering her art as a form of writing, one encounters objects as words and arrangement, a syntax in which none of the relationships are manifest. Selected exhibitions include Interface Gallery and n/a in Oakland, and [2nd floor projects] and Luggage Store Gallery, San Francisco. Healy is interested in ideas of consciousness, and began her education studying art and the 1789 French Revolution at Hampshire College, traveling to the Ukraine as a Christian missionary in her youth, and later receiving her BFA from SFAI (2006) and her MFA from California College of the Arts (2013). She is represented by [2nd floor projects] in San Francisco.
