Genevieve Quick interdisciplinary artist and art writer. Through sculpture, video, photography, and drawing, Quick draws upon engineering, science, and science fiction to explore optical phenomenon and lens based media. Her reviews and essays explore lens-based media and technology. Quick has exhibited in Bay Area galleries and received an Investing in Artists Grant from the Center for Cultural Innovation and a Kala Fellowship. She has been awarded visual arts residencies at the de Young Museum, MacDowell, Djerassi, and Yaddo. Quick has contributed writings to Daily Serving, Temporary Art Review, Shotgun Review, The Present Group,, and Art Practical.
