Eugenia-alana Mitsanas

Eugenia-alana Mitsanas holds an MA in English specializing in teaching foreign students, an MFA in Visual Arts, and is a 500 hour certified yoga instructor. Her MFA exhibition "When the Barn Burns Down..." was a two-room sensory, interactive installation environment about earth, sea and sky designed to encourage meditation, connection, and play. In June 2013 she was Resident Artist at Kalani Oceanside Retreat Center, Hawai'i. She is also faculty at CCA teaching for the Writing & Literature, and First Year Core Studio Departments as well as faculty tutor for their Learning Resource Center. With over 20 years teaching experience, her classes are holistic, creative, and dynamic. Her class themes often include: Nature/Animals, Place/Identity/Language, Fairy Tales/Myth, Stories/Film, and the Visual Arts. She holds citizenship in two countries, USA and Greece, and shares time in both places.
