Eugenia-alana Mitsanas is an artist and educator living in California and in Greece. Her artwork explores subtleties of the sensuality and power of Place. Her interactive installations involve scent, sound, and animation inviting pause, reflection, exploration, and play. Her work is included in private collections in America and Europe.
As an educator, her classes are interdisciplinary, dynamic, and include themes of Ecology/Biology, Place/Identity/Language, Fairy Tale/Myth, and the Visual Arts. She also teaches English and Studio Art classes at California College of the Arts, and in the summer runs a college art program and yoga retreat in Greece.
