Ellen Jacob is an award-winning artist-photographer whose practice focuses on social justice. Her work has been exhibited in the United States and internationally, including the FIF International Festival of Photography in Belo Horizonte, Brazil; the 5th Biennial of Fine Art and Documentary Photography in Barcelona, Spain; The Harnett Biennial of American Prints, University of Richmond Museums, VA; Marin Museum of Contemporary Art and SITE: Brooklyn. She is a Ford Foundation and New York City Department of Cultural Affairs Grant recipient, a Josephine Herrick teaching photographer and a member of Soho Photo Gallery in New York City. She is a Julia Margaret Cameron Award winner and received the Castonguay—Appelbaum Award by the National Association of Women Artists and Violence Transformed. Ellen splits her time between San Francisco and New York.
