The Day the Clown Cried

Marco Rios is a Los Angeles–based artist whose conceptual practice constructs elliptical narratives that reference his own body, the representation of artists in film, and his own childhood artwork. His sculpture, photography, video, and performance works have been exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Artists Space, New York; and the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, North Adams, in addition to solo projects at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; LAXART, Los Angeles; and, most recently, at Simon Preston Gallery, New York.
