Behind the Scenes
Opening Fall 2017
The San Francisco Art Institute's Graduate programs, and artist studios will relocate from its Third Street location to a new campus at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC), opening its doors for the Fall 2017 semester. The 67,000-square-foot-space will be located in a vibrant community of 24 resident organizations–including galleries, bookshops, restaurant, cafes, and art supply store–and within blocks of the 800 Chestnut Street Campus.
The new campus will be located within blocks of the 800 Chestnut Street Campus; next to SFMOMA Artists Gallery; art supply store FLAX Art & Design; Embark Gallery, which offers exhibition opportunities to fine arts graduate students from Bay Area colleges; City College’s Fort Mason Art Campus; and the internationally acclaimed Greens Restaurant.
