Nicole works with all MFA students, including international candidates.
Nicole Crescenzi received her first Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Georgia. After traveling internationally for two and half years, Nicole turned from medicine to pursue her passion for the fine arts—both in the mechanical and material, as well as in the critical and conceptual. Nicole now holds both a BFA and MFA (2010) in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute. In addition to her curatorial experience in exhibition management at the Museum of Craft and Folk Art, MCCLA, and other non-profit spaces, Nicole’s work has been exhibited at The Lab (SF), Performance Art Institute (SF), Aggregate Space (Oakland), ap-art-ment (SF), among others throughout California. Nicole’s practice is focused on the analog and process, investigating the critical role of image making, of mediation, and of the fantasy of representation, itself.
