Leon Borensztein is an internationally acclaimed photographer whose areas of focus are in psychological portraiture and documentary. Recently he has had two books published by Nazreli: "American Portraits, (1979-1989)" and "Portraits ii". A previous book, "One is Man, One is Superman", was published by Chronicle Books. His work was recently shown at Pier 24. He is currently working on a book about his daughter which is a culmination of thirty years of documenting the trials and joys of caring for a disabled person. A past recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, his work is in major collections in museums across the country. His book, "Sharon" will be published in 2015 by Kehrer, a German publisher.
