James Tantum graduated from Temple University with a BA in Philosophy and from SFAI with an MFA in New Genres. He makes tell-all videos, annual calendars, photographs, artists’ books, and curatorial projects. He was awarded a Murphy Fellowship in the Fine Arts; has shown in two countries and Puerto Rico; has taught art at Cantor Arts Center at Stanford, SFAI, Zeum, and CSMA; has exhibited in many galleries, including Steven Wolf Fine Arts, New Langton Arts, Philadelphia Art Alliance, Aggregate Space Gallery, and San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery; and last year placed 2nd in The New Yorker’s Cartoon Caption Contest, finally.
