Helina Metaferia

Helina Metaferia is an interdisciplinary artist working in performance, video art, installation, and mark-making. Helina's work is informed by an interest in diaspora, transnationalism, and gender studies. She has exhibited at venues including Museum of Fine Arts (Boston, MA), Museum of Modern Art (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia), Grace Exhibition Space (Brooklyn, NY), Galeria Labirynt (Lublin, Poland), and Defibrillator Gallery (Chicago, IL). She is a 2016 participant of Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, Yaddo, and Vermont Studio Center. Helina received her MFA at Tufts University's School of the Museum of Fine Art and is a 2015-2017 AICAD Post-Graduate Teaching Fellow at SFAI.
