Harriett Jernigan, PhD, is a writer, pedagogy researcher, and translator. She earned her BA in German Studies and Creative Writing at the University of Alabama and her PhD in German Studies and Applied Linguistics at Stanford University and teaches English, Rhetoric and German Studies. She participates in The Moth Story Slam and was a 2015 Grand Slam finalist. She is currently researching the use of podcasts in second language acquisition, working on a collection of short stories and a translation of a biography of the Mosse family in Berlin.
