Alla Efimova, PhD, is an art historian and curator. She is the founder of KunstWorks, an agency advising artists, artists’ estates, and contemporary art collectors on legacy preservation. In the last decade, in her position as Director of The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life, she ensured the future of one of the premier Jewish collections by overseeing its affiliation with UC Berkeley, designing a state-of-the art building, and authoring a catalog of its major holdings (Skira Rizzoli, 2014). Efimova held positions as a curator and lecturer at Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive, UC Santa Cruz, and UC Irvine.
